Dream Last Night and God's answer to it!!

Last night I had a weird dream.  In the dream, my friend and I were visiting a friend that I used to be interested in, and the guy was sick.  He told me, "Please just come to the hospital with me.  You can trail me."  I was very hesitate, but soon said yea.  As my friend and I were trailing the guy, we had to approach a freeway.  As soon as we got on the freeway we lost the guy, and our car stopped.  Yes, That was the whole dream!

When I woke up this morning the lord immediately started to talk to me about the dream.  God said, "You see who you are trying to follow someone who is not only physically but spiritually sick! Stop trying to return to things that I have broken.  I broke it, so don't mend it back together."

Basically God was saying I stopped the relationship, so LEAVE It Alone.

Your Challenge
Notice the things in your life that are need to broken(or the people who you do not need to be with) and realize that God has something better for you.  Never settle on the past, because God makes all things new. Yes, its weird to think that God could stop relationships from developing, but He knows whats best.  Oh yea Remember, God speaks in weird ways sometimes...You just need to be sensitive enough to listen.

Slow processes

There is one thing I know, God works everything in his timing.  Its hard to wait for something that you expect or most importantly deserve.  I was talking to Pastor John today and he was talking about how ministry is a process and although it does not happen as fast as we would like, it happens.  Iam learning to ride the waves of life. Iam learning to enjoy the times of success and to not give up when I feel like Iam only hanging by a thread.

Your Challenge:
Start to understand that life is a big wave.  Good things happen and bad things happen.  Approach every wave of your life with expectation that no matter what happens God is still good, and he is faithful to make all things work together for our good.

What Do You Want?

Yes, I have entered into the next phase of my life! To be honest, I don't know all of the loop holes of life.  I don't have all the answers, and to be frank, I can't meet all of the expectations either. People want you to land the eight-figure job with the benefits or have the man of your dreams(or should I say their dream man for you) but I Don't! Which makes me ask, What Do You Want?  What is your measure for success, because Iam sure your definition is different from mine.

Success is't just the amount of money you earn.  It isn't about the status you have built for yourself.  I view success as having a happy, devoted balance life for God.  Success is full health, and doing what you love that not only exceeds you but also others.  I wanted to be the high business roller, but I love ministry.  I do believe God is going to use me in business, but if he told me to drop it for ministry I would say HECK YES!!!   I love waking up knowing I get to do great things for God today! I have an opportunity to lead someone to Christ today or pray for elders or children at the hospital! Life is Great!

Your Challenge

Don't miss the opportunity to do something BIG just because you are trying to fulfill the expectation of someone else opinion for your life.  I asked my mom, Would she be fine if I just worked in the ministry?Because my mom is just cool, but also understands the calling of God on people lives and my own, she said Yes!  Talk to your peers and especially your parents about their expectations for your life.  Explain to them how theirs don't match yours! Explain your vision.  Remember its your life, NOT theirs! You alone have to answer to God about what you did or didn't do for his kingdom!!

New Positioning

When I was at campus worship one Sunday Night, I was praying, "God what do you want from me?"  If your like myself, you understand your not a perfect person, and you take one day at a time fixing every wrong issue in yourself.

Let me give you an example. Last Semester I was told that I needed to work on my communication on projects, so since then I have been working everyday on my communication with people within projects and groups.  So far Iam doing great with my organizing and group work with my strategic management group.

Well its the same thing with God, when something is wrong its great when he corrects me, so I can get it right.  That night there God told me, "You have to two things stopping you from reaching your full potential within me: Denial of who you are and Lust.

When God told me this I was like Okay, your definitely right, God.  I have been denying my calling to the ministry for a long time. Probably my sophomore and Junior year, I struggled with my Christianity, and my passion for souls, the church, and Jesus just left.  I was dry.  One of the reasons I believe I was so dry was because of my denying of what God wanted me to do through me. I was not confident enough in him, but most of all I was being disobedient.  I finally got it together last year around Feb. when I finally told one of my mentors, Mrs Jill about it, and she definitely corrected me. lol.. she was pretty harsh too, but I needed to wake up.

Lust has been something I have struggled with for a long time.  Its crazy because you think you are the only one, and then you realize so many Women struggle with the same thing.  Its so easy to get caught into, especially with the mind.  I mean I was really bounded by this for years, and no one knew.  I did everything to change it too. I fasted, I prayed, I asked for prayer. It would get better and then I would fall again and do the same thing over and over. I believe that somethings are removed through processes, and this has been a process of renewing the mind and staying focus on God. I realized I cant fix my issues on my own, I need Jesus helping me every moment. I learned that when I stopped trying to fix my problems and just started to love more on Jesus, My life became easy especially within my Christian Walk.

This is just a summary of things, but I will blogging more about these things...God...and Life.

Sometimes we have to change the way we think to be in position for God to do a new thing

Science Vs Faith Story!

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to his Class on the problem Science has with God. He asked one of his new Christian students to stand.

  • Professor: You are a Christian, aren’t you, son?
  • Student: Yes, sir.
  • Professor: So, you believe in God?
  • Student: Absolutely, sir.
  • Professor: Is God good?
  • Student: Sure.
  • Professor: My brother died of cancer, even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn’t. How is God good, then? Hmm?
  • (Student was silent)
  • Professor: You can’t answer, can you? Let’s start again, young fella. Is God good?
  • Student: Yes.
  • Professor: Is Satan good?
  • Student: No.
  • Professor: Where does Satan come from?
  • Student: From.. God.
  • Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
  • Student: Yes.
  • Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make everything. Correct?
  • Student: Yes.
  • Professor: So who created evil?
  • (Student didn’t answer)
  • Professor: Is there sickness? Immortality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?
  • Student: Yes, sir.
  • Professor: So, who created them?
  • (Student had no answer)
  • Professor: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son.. have you ever seen God?
  • Student: No, sir.
  • Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your God.
  • Student: No, sir.
  • Professor: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God, for that matter?
  • Student: No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.
  • Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
  • Student: Yes.
  • Professor: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, Science says your God doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?
  • Student: Nothing. I only have my Faith.
  • Professor: Yes, Faith. And that is the problem Science has.
  • Student: Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?
  • Professor: Yes.
  • Student: And is there such a thing as Cold?
  • Professor: Yes.
  • Student: No, sir, there isn’t.
  • (The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events)
  • Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of Heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
  • (There was a pon-drop silence in the Lecture Theatre)
  • Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
  • Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?
  • Student: You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light… But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and it’s called Darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, You would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?
  • Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man?
  • Student: Sir, my point is, your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
  • Professor: Flawed? Can you explain how?
  • Student: Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
  • Professor: If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes of course, I do.
  • Student: Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?
  • (The professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going)
  • Student: Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?
  • (The class was in uproar)
  • Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?
  • (The class broke out into laughter)
  • Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? .. No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable and Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures?
  • (The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable)
  • Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on Faith, son.
  • Student: That is it, sir.. exactly! The link between man and God is Faith. That is all that keeps things alive and moving!
  • ----------------------------------------------------
  • That student was Albert Einstein.
  • Brilliant.
  • Beautifully done.
